Jargon Buster "EDO"

EDO Memory- Extended Data Ouput

EDO is an Extended Data Output design, and these SIMMs run up to 10% faster than non-EDO. They are commonly used in many higher speed Pentiums (100 MHz or faster).

EDO RAM was initially optimized for the 66 MHz Pentium. For faster computers, different types of synchronous dynamic RAM (SDRAM) are recommended.
