Answers
01.
Q. What does AGP stand for?

A. Accelerated Graphics Port. AGP is a fast dedicated interface between the video adapter or chipset and the motherboard chipset. It was developed originally by Intel.

02.
Q. What is DVI?

A. DVI (Digital Video Interface) is a specification created by the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG) to accommodate analog and digital monitors with a single connector. There are three different DVI configurations: DVI-A, designed for analog signals, DVI-D, designed for digital signals, and DVI-I (integrated), designed for both analog and digital signals.
Using a DVI connector and port, a digital signal that is sent to an analog monitor is converted into an analog signal. If the monitor is a digital monitor, such as a flat panel display, no conversion is necessary. Many monitors now include a DVI connection and many video adapters include a DVI port along with, or instead of, the traditional 15-pin Video Graphics Array (VGA) port.

Q. How do you pronounce Hauppauge?

A. Hauppauge is a town in NY on Long Island. Hauppauge is pronounced HOP-HOG. The area around the headwaters of the Nissequogue (NISS-I-QUOG) River was dubbed Hauppauge by Native Americans; it means "overflowed land'' in the Algonquian language. Hauppauge boasts a large industrial park which is home to many well known companies.

Q. How do you uninstall Hauppauge WinTV Software?

A. The Program HCWCLEAR.EXE can be used to remove all of the WinTV drivers, software, and registry entries. To access this file, insert the WinTV Installation CD (Version 2.0 or Higher) into your CD ROM Drive and double click on My Computer. In here you will find the different drives that are on your system including the CD-ROM Drive. Double click on the CD ROM drive and you will see the contents of the Installation CD. In here you will find the HCWCLEAR.EXE file in the root directory. Double click on this file and choose the “Remove all WinTV drivers and applications” option as well as the "Search All INF files" option. A DOS window will open while it is removing the files. Bypass any errors that may come up and allow the Window to close on its own. Once it closes it is finished.

Q. WinTV USB installation information

A. Turn on your PC and boot into Windows completely. Then plug the USB device into a USB connector on the back of your PC. NOTE: It is not recommended to connect the USB to a USB - if possible, connect directly to the PC's USB port. After the WinTV USB is installed, the Add New Hardware Wizard will appear. Install the drivers provided on the WinTV USB Installation CD-ROM. During the installation procedure you may be asked for the Windows98 installation CD ROM. Make sure you have this CD handy. Windows98 requires an update from the Windows installation CD in order to support the WinTV USB. After the WinTV USB drivers have been installed, the setup program will run. Click on Install to install the application software. This will create an Icon on your desktop for the WinTV2000 program, which will let you watch TV on your PC.
