In the first quarter of 2001, the Baoan Plant in Shenzhen started production, vastly increasing MSI's production output as well as revenue for 2002. Aside from the Baoan Plant in Shenzhen, MSI has also established production facilities and a research and development center in Kunshan, China. These production facilities will be completed in 2003. Yearly production of MSI mainboards is expected to rise from 13.48 million units in 2002 to 15.6 million units in 2003.
