Maxtor Serial ATA Hard Drives

Serial ATA is the next generation ATA interface. It provides faster data transfer speeds, more bandwidth, more potential for speed increases in future generations and better data integrity. Serial ATA hard ware is smaller and more compact than traditional parallel ATA components. A powerful command set and hot plug features make SATA very attractive for ATA RAID applications.
Maxtor is a founding member of the Serial ATA Working Group and has strongly supported the development and adoption of this interface. Maxtor is a key supplier of evaluation, qualification and production level disk drives to major storage OEMs as they develop SATA storage devices. Serial ATA interfaces are available on Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 and MaXLine Plus II products.
